Claire and Jamie reunite with the MacKenzies in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 1
Can you believe that we’re onto the ninth Outlander book? Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone sees the whole family in the past. However, it’s clear that the dangers of the 20th century aren’t completely behind them.
This chapter opens with some answers we had from the eighth book. The biggest answer is that it definitely was Bree and Roger with their children at the bottom of the hill. We knew it, but we needed that confirmation.
There isn’t too much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. It’s about catching us up with things that have happened between the books, and also catching Claire and Jamie up on a few things from the future.
Will this chapter be used in the TV series? I certainly think so, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section. Yes, there is still an adaptation section as I look at what is and isn’t likely to be used in the TV series.
