Outlander Season 7B is not coming to STARZ in August 2023

We are into another Droughtlander. Outlander Season 7B will not premiere this month on STARZ, but when can we expect the new episodes?

Outlander Season 7A certainly did not disappoint. The biggest disappointment has been that it was only eight episodes long. We have to wait for the remaining episodes of the season.

Of course, we knew this going into the season. STARZ made it clear that we would get eight episodes with the remaining eight set for arrival at a later date. So, we knew that Outlander Season 7B wouldn’t arrive in August 2023. How long will we need to wait for it?

When will Outlander Season 7B come to STARZ?

There isn’t a definitive end to this Droughtlander just yet. What we do know is not to expect the remaining eight episodes this year at all. That’s got nothing to do with the current strike action. Nor is it anything to do with filming delays or problems.

STARZ is simply spreading out the episodes. The premium cable network is a business, so it make sense when it comes to that. It’s just annoying for us as fans.

The break was also important for post-production. While the first eight episodes had been through post-production, the remaining eight hadn’t. There shouldn’t be a delay on this due to the current SAG-AFTRA strike action as Outlander isn’t a SAG show.

So, when can we expect Outlander Season 7B? We know it will arrive some time in 2024. This could be as early as January or February, but we may have to wait until the spring or summer. There will be a fair bit of content that STARZ wants to spread out, and this isn’t a network that is mostly reliant on SAG-AFTRA content, so it may not see some of the problems in content supply that the likes of Amazon and Hulu may do soon. So, it will still have plenty of content to spread out into 2024.
