After taking a week off, Outlander is back. It’s time for the Outlander Season 7A finale, but how long will the episode be?
Can you believe we’re at the Outlander Season 7A finale already? We head into another Droughtlander after this. You’ll definitely want to know just how long the episode is to get an idea of how long we have now until the next Droughtlander.
There is a lot to fit in the new episode. It will bring us the Second Battle of Saratoga, a pivotal moment in the Revolutionary War. In the 20th century, we’ll follow Roger and Bree as they figure out where and when Rob has taken Jemmy through the stones.
Outlander Season 7A finale episode length
So, how long do we have until Droughtlander begins? The Outlander Season 7A finale is set at 62 minutes on STARZ during its first showing at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It will then air again at 11:07 p.m. ET/PT, where it is also set to be 62 minutes long.
This is shorter than we’d hoped for. A lot hoped for a 90-minute episode similar to the Season 2 finale and the Season 6 premiere. It would have been a great way to lead us into Droughtlander and fit everything in that was needed.
After this, it’s not clear when the new episodes will air. The good news is Outlander Season 7B has been filmed. It was going through post-production when the SAG-AFTRA strike started, but this isn’t a SAG show. It means that the post-production work shouldn’t have been affected, unless the show is standing in solidarity. That could cause problems for contracts, so it probably won’t be the case.
We do know that Outlander Season 8 is affected by the strike action. That was due to the writers strike, though, as the writers for the show as WGA members.
