Jamie Fraser was last seen on the battlefield at the end of the First Battle of Saratoga in Outlander Season 7, Episode 7. Will he survive?

Caution: This post contains major spoilers from Outlander Season 7, Episode 7 as well as the promo and synopsis for Episode 8.

What an episode of Outlander! A lot of the focus in the lead-up to the First Battle of Saratoga was on William. He had the chance to see war firsthand, and it was nothing like he expected. On the other side, Jamie was left laying face-down in the mud.

The promo shows us Claire seeing him. As he’s rolled over, it looks like he’s dead. Is that really the case, though? Is this how Claire and Jamie’s story will end in Outlander?

Will Jamie survive in Outlander Season 7?

Do we really think that this is the end for Claire and Jamie? There isn’t a show without the two of them. This isn’t like Game of Thrones where we can follow other storylines and see how characters develop.

There are also clues in the promotional material for the next episode that tells us everything. In the synopsis, we find out that Jamie will fight in the Second Battle of Saratoga. That means he needs to survive if he’s going to fight in it. I guess the synopsis ruined that whole cliffhanger.

The promo also includes Jamie’s voice at one point. It sounds like a conversation that will happen during the episode and nothing that he’s said before, which again, suggests that he is going to survive.

Of course, we can also look at the books to see how it all plays out. Let’s just say there is more to Claire and Jamie’s story after this point. We just have to look at some of the photos leaked to know that there is still more. Claire and Jamie still need to get to Scotland with Young Ian, right?
