William Ransom has made it to Fort Ticonderoga, and it’s time to show who he is. Here are his best moments from Outlander Season 7, Episode 6.

It was only a matter of time before William would get to Fort Ticonderoga. He’d originally gone to New York, but he was sent to the fort, where Captain Richardson and Brigadier Fraser were waiting for him.

While there, he ran into someone else he knew—someone he was shocked to see. It’s time to look at William’s best moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 6 in the order they happened.

Questioning Captain Richardson’s loyalties

William is a smart man. While he hadn’t managed to get the letters to their intended recipients, he did realize that the letters were for rebels. Why would Captain Richardson want to send encrypted letters to the rebels?

Of course, Richardson had a reason. He makes it out like the rebels are spies for the British. What if it’s the other way around? William is learning there’s much more to war than just the battles, and there’s still much more to come.

Helping Claire with supplies

Claire didn’t initially recognize William, but he recognized her, and he was shocked to find out that she’s a rebel. Despite that, he knows the rebel prisoners need supplies, and he is more than happy to find something for Claire.

I do love the way he described her to another officer. Claire is every little bit the “curly wig” who barks orders like a sergeant major. What William doesn’t realize is that she had to learn that as a nurse in World War II. But it’s good to know that his description of her was apt, but also admirable.

Allowing Claire and Young Ian to escape

William owes Young Ian a debt. A life for a life. What he didn’t really owe was Claire a debt. That being said, when it all came down to it, William decided that he needed to be an honorable man. Claire had saved John’s life once, and maybe William owed Claire for that.

I love that we see how William has been raised. We saw Hal and John Grey save Jamie because of debts. Now we get to see that pass on to William. He knows the right thing to do.
