Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter makes it clear that babies are going to be born. We’ll get Rachel and Ian’s baby before the book is done, but it’s clear that word about Marsali and Fergus’s latest arrival is going to take a little longer.

I do feel like there’s a foreshadowing of Bree and Roger returning. There’s just something in Claire and Jamie stealing a night to themselves that makes it clear that the Ridge is going to grow again.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I wonder if we’ll see some of this chapter combined with the other one. We could have Jamie show Claire the layout of the house and then the two find where their bedroom will be. This is a great way to combine quieter chapters without missing out on too much between the two main characters.

Will we get to see the conversation between Claire and Rachel, though? I would love to see it. I really want to see how Rachel trusts Claire and tells her so much. We see so many of these moments with other characters. I don’t think the writers will let us down with this one.
