Claire and Jamie get some more alone time in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 143

After going to see Rachel, Claire gets some alone time with Jamie in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 143. It’s a short chapter that prepares us for some things to happen.

This is a chapter that’s about getting us to the end of the book. We get these quiet family moments, but it’s clear that there is something just around the corner. There is something heavy in the air as the conversations go on.

However, this chapter is a little more peaceful than others. The heaviness is dulled by conversations of babies and thoughts of erotic dreams. We get to see Claire just live for a while in the peace of what is home.

There is a little bit of foreshadowing in the chapter, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section. It’s not a lot, though.

Will the chapter be used in the TV series? I’m not too sure about that. It may do, but combined with the previous chapter as a way to bring us a quiet, romantic moment for Claire and Jamie. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 143.
