The First Battle of Saratoga takes place in Outlander Season 7, Episode 7. Here are all the Outlander spoilers you need for the episode.
Jamie is being called into battle, and he’s not alone. The promo makes it clear that a few of the men will end up on the battlefield, but will they all make it out alive?
Meanwhile, Rob Cameron continues to make himself a problem in the 20th century. It’s clear that he is up to something, but it’s not clear what that is just yet. How did he end up with his hands on Roger’s book? There’s no way Roger accidentally brought that to his Gaelic lesson, is it?
Outlander spoilers: 7×07 promo
The promo for the episode gives us an idea of a couple of things going on. The first is that the First Battle of Saratoga is going to happen. Claire has already told Jamie that this is a turning point for the Americans. Of course, the British think that they will win. They’re the ones who have Fort Ticonderoga at the moment.
Claire tells Jamie that he has to come back to her. If he doesn’t, she will go out and look for Jamie herself.
In the 20th century, we get to see Rob Cameron at Lallybroch. He seems to have eyes for Brianna. We know Bree only has eyes for Roger, but that doesn’t stop Roger from being a little jealous. Will it continue to feed into Roger’s feelings about not providing financially for the family?
Outlander spoilers: 7×07 synopsis
Something that the promo doesn’t give us a look at is the man Roger hit at the end of the previous episode. That was Buck MacKenzie. Yes, the same Buck who had Roger hanged at the Battle of Alamance. The synopsis makes it clear that Buck is going to come up as Bree and Roger try to figure out what he is doing in the 20th century.
The synopsis also tells us that Jamie prepares for a battle that William is going to fight in. The one thing that Jamie didn’t want to see happen is going to happen.
"Jamie prepares to face British forces in battle. Roger and Brianna question Buck MacKenzie’s intentions in the 20th century. William fights in the First Battle of Saratoga."
