Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

While there isn’t foreshadowing, I get the feeling that there’s some sort of plot development for Jamie in this. I can’t remember the next part, but I’m sure that Claire mentions it to Jamie. It’s just a part of the book that felt so pointless to me that I just didn’t pay that much attention to it. But it has to lead to something, right?

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I don’t see this part of the book being used in the TV series. If anything, we may see a mention of the Trading Post, but that’s about it. Nothing major happens, and the situation with Claire’s abduction has been done very differently in the show. There’s no reason to believe that Jamie would let any of those men escape. I think the only one who did was Donner, and that’s because Donner likely ran instead of even considering facing Jamie and his men for the Browns.

I wouldn’t complain if this part was skipped. There just isn’t enough time to fit everything in.
