Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter doesn’t foreshadow anything. It’s about William gaining some sort of closure. He needs this considering everything that’s happened in his life. He needed to understand the circumstances of that night between Jamie and Geneva.

We’re getting to the end of the book. These next few chapters are all about setting up the next story.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I do expect to see this chapter used in the TV series. William is sure to find out who Jamie is, and he’s sure to have all the same questions. He’ll want to know that he isn’t a product of rape. That’s something no child wants to believe or know.

And we need to see this moment between father and son. We need to see how Jamie feels about the whole situation, and how he is honest with his son. I suspect that it will come up in Outlander Season 8 rather than Season 7, though.
