Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

We certainly see William softening to things in this chapter. I think that’s important for the rest of the story. He understands why Jamie held the secret, and he isn’t as angry any more. I think he’s angrier at John and Hal more than anyone else.

The foreshadowing itself is in William turning to Jamie for help in the future. At the end of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, William turns to Jamie when he learns that John has been taken. Out of everyone in his life, he knows that it’s Jamie that he can count on. Jamie has proven that in this moment.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I expect to see this chapter used in Outlander Season 7 or maybe in Season 8. I think we will see Jane and Fanny turn up, even if it is just for an episode or two. After all, I believe they help William realize that maybe his title isn’t everything to him. They help him come to terms with who he actually is.

I also think we’ll see the next part of the story with what happens to Fanny. To see that, we need to see this part of the story happen. After all, Jamie needs to know who Jane and Fanny are.
