William learns that Jane is in grave danger in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 132

We head back to William’s storyline in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 132. He reunites with John and Hal as he learns about Jane’s situation.

William has to ponder a few things in this episode. The first is Amaranthus, as Claire has managed to get word to him about her location. How can he get to her?

All that is thrown off when he finds Fanny in distress. It turns out that Jane is in grave danger. William hopes to be able to use in influence to help, and when he finds John and Hal, he hopes to use their influence. Sadly, there isn’t much that can be done.

This chapter is certainly setting up the plot for the next book. We’re seeing everything come together for a few characters to end up meeting back up. There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing, though.

What about using this in the TV series? I have a feeling that some of it might be used. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of the post.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 132.
