Jamie and Claire headed north to get Young Ian back to Scotland in Outlander Season 7. That plan hasn’t quite worked out.
After the Big House burned down, Jamie decided it was time to get Young Ian back to Scotland. He’d always promised to get Ian back to his mother eventually. Of course, things took a turn when Jamie ended up beating Roger and selling him to the Mohawk.
Well, now Jamie has a chance to return his nephew to his home. That’s not to say Ian wants to go there. He wants to be in America. Shouldn’t he get a say in where he lives?
Things seem to be working against Jamie’s plans again, though. During Outlander Season 7, Episode 3, Jamie is called back to the militia. He needs to go to Fort Ticonderoga. Of course, Claire and Ian will go with him. This is a battle for all.
Will Ian ever get back to Scotland in Outlander Season 7?
Right now, it doesn’t look like the Frasers will be leaving America any time soon. They are stuck in the middle of this siege.
Of course, book fans know what’s to come. We’ll leave the book spoilers out for now. There are a lot of show-first and show-only fans, so we’ll take a look at what we know based on filming spoilers.
There was a leak during filming that showed Claire, Jamie, and Ian by some stones. Now, this could have been as Bree and Roger went through, but they didn’t look like the stones in America. They looked like the Scottish stones, suggesting that Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian do get back to Scotland at some point.
Why Claire is at the Scottish stones is unknown. It’s dangerous for time travelers to be near the stones. Of course, it could have been an area that just looked like stones or it could have been the American ones to say goodbye to Bree, Roger, and the children. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
With Jenny and Ian Murray set to return at some point in Outlander Season 7, we’re certainly assuming that Jamie will get Ian back home. At least for some time.
