Roger is in the 20th century with his family, and it’s time to figure out what to do next. Here are his top three moments from Outlander Season 7, Episode 3.
After traveling through the stones at the end of the previous episode, Roger and Bree need to figure out what to do next. They’ve turned to Fiona for help, who happens to have a box for Jemmy. This box has been ni a bank vault for 200 years and finally made its way to Roger and Brianna.
That box is packed with letters and a musket ball. It’s time for the MacKenzies to find out what’s going on with the Frasers.
3 best Roger moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 3
This list is in order of the events happening. After all, it’s so hard to rank these things when they involve different emotions.
1. Blaming Bree for the fire
Finding out that Claire and Jamie survived the fire, Roger couldn’t help but start laughing. If it wasn’t for matches and ether, the house wouldn’t have burned down. Roger can’t help but laugh at the idea.
It is worth noting that Roger tried to fit in with the time. He was a little bit useless at it at times, but he wasn’t the one creating things from the 20th century—except toys that were a little easier to explain and certainly weren’t going to set things on fire. Isn’t it what we were all thinking, anyway?
2. Sharing the legend of the gold
In a letter, he finds out that Jemmy may know the hiding place of some sort of long lost gold. This brings up the story of what he knows about the gold. If only he could be in the18th century right now and find out about the story from Arch.
I do love that he just knows this legend. As a Scottish historian, it would have been something that would have been mentioned. He would have taken an interest in it. And you just know that part of him wants to see if the gold is real.
3. Seeing Lallybroch for the first time
It’s sometimes easy to forget that Roger hasn’t seen what would have been Brianna’s home had Jamie not planned ahead and signed it over to Jenny’s son, Jamie. Roger wasn’t with Bree when she saw it, but now he gets to visit it.
It’s a marvelous place, and I love seeing him attempt to get into the house by breaking the wooden boards. Plus, I just love his awe as he sees it for the first time. This is a dream come true, although he would have loved to see it in the past.
