Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

One thing we get from this chapter is not to trust Richardson. He is a turncoat at this point, but is he actually working with the Americans? Is it possible that he’s a double agent? That is an important question to ask, as there are answers to it in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.

It turns out that Richardson has a lot of secrets. He knows the side this war is going to go, and he’s not happy about that. He’s attempting something similar to Claire and Jamie when it came to Culloden. Or at least, the lead up to Culloden when they were in France.

I think there’s also a bit of foreshadowing of Ben’s story. Remember that it was Richardson who told the Greys that Ben was dead. Ben didn’t die where he supposedly did, and now Richardson is on the other side? Something is definitely suspicious here.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

The chapter is likely to be used in the TV series. I wasn’t too sure about the Ben storyline, but the more that I see Book 9 is likely to be the focus in Outlander Season 9, the more I think this whole storyline will be used. On top of that, I’m sure that Richardson is going to be a major playing in the final season. I do think he will be the final big bad.

I can’t wait to see how all this does end up playing out. Richardson’s storyline always intrigued me the most, and it was even more intriguing with Book 9 and I can’t wait to see Book 10’s storyline. I want to see it all play out on screen.
