Top 5 moments from Outlander Season 7, Episode 3

Outlander Season 7, Episode 3 felt like it closed a chapter on the Frasers’ lives. Here are the best moments from the entire episode.

Caution: this post includes spoilers from Outlander Season 7, Episode 3.

There is no doubt that we’re in mourning after that episode of Outlander. The Big House went up in a huge explosion, and we said a permanent goodbye to another character. Fortunately, that character was not Adso. The show had us worried for a second.

After losing their home, Claire and Jamie figure out what to do next. It’s clear that they want to stay at the Ridge, but they also need to get to Scotland. This is going to be their last chance to get Ian back to Lallybroch, and it’s the only way for Jamie not to face William on the other side of a battlefield.

Let’s take a look at the top moments from the whole episode. Some of these certainly bring us hints of what’s to come in the future.

5. Jamie shares where he wants to be buried

There is beauty in the quiet moments. After the fire, everyone feels like they’ve lost something. At first, there was the focus on the gold, but then they all had to come to terms with the house that is no more. However, Jamie won’t allow them to remain in the cabin that he built for them when they first moved to the Ridge.

He takes Claire to show him where the site for the new house will be. He also tells Claire that he wants to get Ian back to Scotland; a promise he made to Jenny a long time ago. This leads to Claire asking Jamie about where he wants to be buried and then pointing out that he hasn’t asked her. Jamie doesn’t plan on Claire dying first. He doesn’t want to know where she wants to be buried.

By the way, I love that Jamie is happy to just allow his body to be used to feed the crows. While it sounds ghastly, it’s his way of giving his body back to the Earth. He won’t care; his soul has moved on.
