Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I love that this chapter is setting up the story for Claire and Jamie to get back home. It’s been a long time away. In fact, I think they’ve been away since for a good chunk of the seventh book and all of the eighth book up to their return at the end. Of course we’re all ready for them to get back home.

There isn’t too much in the way of foreshadowing, except for the naming of baby Oggy. The two can’t decide, but it won’t be up to them in the ninth book. A certain former wife is going to show up and name the baby, and it’s going to be the perfect name for Rachel and Ian.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I expect we’ll see this chapter to the story. We’ll need to see Fergus and Marsali starting their life together. They’re supposed to be going to Wilmington, but it is a little too dangerous for them right now. That doesn’t mean the series has to follow that just to make it a little easier for storylines involving them and for the sets—they’re expensive to create!

I also think we need to see Claire and Jamie on their way to Fraser’s Ridge with everyone else. It’s time to see them get back home. I suspect that this will be at the end of Outlander Season 7.
