Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 126 breakdown
Claire, Jamie, and co. have made it to Savannah in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 126
The tables turn when it comes to who is bringing home the bacon in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 126. Just how good is Jamie at cooking?
This chapter sees the group arrive in Savannah. One thing I was glad to see was that Clarence went with them. For the length of time that Clarence has been with Claire and Jamie, there is absolutely no way they could sell him. It made sense to keep this loyal mule.
However, they end up with no money left once they get there. So, Claire needs to get to work to earn some. She also decides to barter, and I love that we see how people could earn their keep in the past. Nowadays, it would be rarely considered expect in a small town, but this was the way of life when coin wasn’t the only way to buy things.
This chapter sets things up for the Frasers to get back to the Ridge. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.
What about it being used for the adaptation? I do think we’ll see it, and I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 126.
