Is Wendigo Donner really dead in Outlander?
While many people are ready for the next episode of Outlander, we’re looking back at THAT death. Is that is for Wendigo Donner?
Wendigo Donner only wanted one thing: to get back home. It does seem a shame on the face of it that he never got that opportunity. He met an explosive end in Outlander Season 7, Episode 2.
Remember the fire at the Big House that has been teased since Season 4? Well, it happened. And now we know how it happened. Wendigo Donner got to the house looking for gems, and some ether was knocked over. With the light of a match, the whole place went up in flames.
Not everyone would make it out alive. Donner was the biggest casualty of the lot. But is that really it for the character? After all, he’s gotten out of dodge before?
Donner shouldn’t return in Outlander
That should be it for the character. This storyline has played out very much like the book storyline, bringing the Big House fire and Donner’s end at the same time. The fire wouldn’t have happened had Donner not come to the house, and Donner would still be alive if he wasn’t so desperate to get back to his own time.
Of course, there are always changes that happen here and there. Let’s not completely rule out the possibility of Donner coming back as a ghost or vision. We saw that happen throughout Outlander Season 6 as Claire saw the specter of Lionel Brown. Could she end up seeing visions of Donner?
It’s highly unlikely that something like this will be added in. There’s just too much to fit into the season, and we know that three books are being combined for this season. So, we probably won’t see Donner back.
