Claire assesses what they can take in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 124
We start Outlander Book 8, Chapter 124 with a discussion about taking Clarence or not. Then it moves onto thoughts about what to do next.
Jamie and Claire discuss whether they should take Clarence with them or sell him. That’s so sad. They’ve already lost so much, and I vote they take this loyal mule with them.
They don’t really have a plan put together, though. It seemed like the plan for a long time was to head back to the Ridge, but there was always the question of what Fergus would do there. Well, now there are a lot of questions about whether Fergus and Marsali will be separated from Jamie and Claire. There are questions about Germain. There’s just so much going on.
This chapter is all about plot development. I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing, except for Germain’s storyline. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.
As for adapting the chapter, I expect to see some of it. I don’t think it will take up a lot of time, and I’ll get to my big thoughts in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 124.
