Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 123 breakdown
We get three letters in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 123
The story is told through three letters in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 123. One of the letters is to Claire and the other two are to Hal.
I’m not the biggest fan of the story being told through letters. I don’t want to be told things in fiction. I want to be shown it. This allows me to connect more to the story and feel things. Otherwise, I feel like I’m reading history books and not really bothered about what’s going on.
I’ll break down the letters, though, as they are all important. What I do find amusing is that all three put characters in Savannah, Georgia. Or at least, they’re all on their way to Georgia. It’s clear that Savannah is the next part of the story for the Revolutionary War.
This chapter is mostly about plot development, but I do see some foreshadowing in the story. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing part of the post.
As for being adapted, I doubt we’ll see it as letters. We’ll see it play out, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 123.
