Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow all that much. Instead, it focuses on moving the story forward. It’s time for everyone to leave Philadelphia and head back to Fraser’s Ridge. Everyone left is going together and focusing on their future together.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I want to see this chapter used in the TV series. I suspect that we’ll get both Rollo’s and Henri-Christian’s deaths, and I want to see the two of them buried together. It’s such a meaningful moment with Ian sharing the place he grieved for Jenny and Jamie and then bringing these two souls together in death.

It’s just heartwarming to know that Ian doesn’t want Henri-Christian to be alone so far away from Fraser’s Ridge. He also doesn’t want Rollo to be alone. The two will keep each other company. As much as it’s going to be hard to watch this, it’s important to show it on screen.
