The ship reunion in the Outlander Season 7 premiere
Claire and Jamie reunions are always big moments. This reunion on the ship proved no different. Jamie had spent the day trying to find out where his wife had been taken after the soldiers came to the prison cell. He then needed to find a way to save Claire from her current situation.
Meanwhile, Claire just had to get on with helping Mrs. Martin. Only then would she be able to find a way to get herself freed from the current situation. She also needed to wait for Jamie.
Well, the reunion happened. Jamie came aboard the ship and he and Claire immediately embraced. Neither of them would be held back even if people tried. They were both scared at some point that they might not see each other again, having to trust in God that he would get them back together.
What made this moment stand out was the poor soldier who just stood and watched. He told them that their embrace wasn’t allowed, but neither of them cared about that. He must have felt so embarrassed and awkward standing that. Outlander does a great job of adding humor and passion into the story, and this moment certainly did that.
