Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 119 breakdown
William sees Ben’s grave in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 119
William learns what happened to his cousin in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 119. Or does he?
This is one of my favorite storylines for the mystery of it. We find out what happened to Ben. Although, we soon find out that that isn’t the case after all. Ben isn’t in the grave that is marked with his name.
I love that William really only finds out about this by chance. He’s willing to go grave digging, but not for the reasons you would suspect. It’s not that he doesn’t believe the story he’s told initially, but that he wants to get a lock of Ben’s hair for his mother. It’s actually a very sweet thing to do but opens a huge can of worms.
Yes, this is all plot development. There is something much bigger going on, and I’ll get to all that in the foreshadowing section.
I’m just not sure that we’ll get to see this storyline play out in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on why in the adaptation section, but you’ll likely know why if you’ve read the previous chapter breakdowns.
Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 119.
