Was Fergus in the Outlander Season 7 premiere?
We don’t know if Fergus and Marsali’s story will continue in Outlander Season 7. Did Fergus show up in the Outlander Season 7 premiere?
Lauren Lyle couldn’t tell us whether she would be back for Outlander Season 7 or not. That leaves us looking out for any sign that Marsali and Fergus would return.
The last we saw of Fergus, he was recovering from his suicide attempt. He didn’t feel like he was any use on the Ridge, and he and Jamie remembered when the two ran the printshop in Edinburgh. It wasn’t surprising then to hear that Aunt Jocasta got some money together to open a printshop for Fergus to run.
That printshop is in Wilmington. With Jamie and Young Ian in Wilmington to find Claire, there was some hope that we would see Fergus. Did that happen in the Outlander Season 7 premiere?
Did Fergus help in the Outlander Season 7 premiere?
There is some bad news. The Outlander Season 7 premiere did not include any sighting of Fergus. He wasn’t even mentioned.
In a way, that’s not surprising. Jamie’s focus in the episode was to find Claire and get her to safety. There were only two people he needed to work with: Young Ian and Tom Christie. At one point, there could have been a mention as Jamie and Young Ian worked their way around Wilmington to find out where Claire had been taken that morning when soldiers picked her up from the prison cell.
Of course, there isn’t much time. We can just assume that Jamie would have made the call in to Fergus if he was there.
We will hopefully see Fergus at some point. After all, there is trouble for printers in the colonies throughout the Revolutionary War. Wouldn’t it make sense to see that trouble through the eyes of one of the characters we already know and love?
