Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
This chapter certainly foreshadows a couple of things. The first is that there’s more to Richardson and Ben’s story. They’re up to something.
I guess all the mentions of turncoats—or those who will be turncoats—also foreshadows all this. We know that Richardson has gone from Crown to Continental Army. He’s up to something else, though. Not all turncoats are actually turncoats. They just know more than others do.
Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter
It’s hard to say if this chapter will be used. On the one hand, I think mentions of Richardson will help. I suspect that he will be used in the eighth season. Part of me thinks that he will be the last big bad of the story. I’m just not sure there’s time for the whole Grey storyline.
It’s going to depend on just how much of Book 8 is used in Season 7. It’s also going to depend on what the writers will do about Season 8. Will we see some of Book 9 used? Will we see some spoilers for Book 10? There are a lot of questions, and the answers will affect just how much of the Grey storyline will be used in the TV series.
