Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing in this. It’s more of just pushing the plot forward and giving us a moment of calm before the next storm.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I would love to see this chapter play out, even if it’s just to offer us some sort of explanation of what’s going on. Is it Roger’s mind playing a trick on him? Maybe it’s him thinking worst-case scenario as he doesn’t think about how the timeline wouldn’t match up.

But I don’t really think there is a need for the chapter overall. We could have him checking on the children at Lallybroch. We could see him glance at Bree’s bag to know that he’s wondering what’s in it. There’s no need to bring us this whole chapter as it doesn’t really lead to anything.

There just isn’t that much time left in the TV series. The chapters being used need to have a bigger purpose.
