Roger and Bree discuss what to do next in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 109

With the MacKenzie family reunited, it’s time to figure out what to do next. Of course, Bree and Roger need to enjoy their reunion in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 109.

This chapter starts with where the family is. They’ve headed to Dr. McEwan’s place. That makes sense for Roger as he knows that Roger can heal Bree. It turns out that she has a sprained ankle, although I had to remember that actually happened. It does make me wonder if this was the inspiration for what happened to Bree in Outlander Season 4.

Anyway, the family is sharing McEwan’s single bed, but Bree and Roger manage to get away from the children. They have time to make up for, and they need to talk about what to do next.

This chapter certainly includes some foreshadowing of what’s to come with Buck and Geillis. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

Will it be used in the TV series, though? I’m in two minds about this, and I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 109.
