Roger reunites with Jem and Mandy in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 108

We have another relatively short chapter in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 108. The purpose of it is to bring some closure for Roger and Brianna.

In the previous chapter, we ended it by finding out that Mandy could hear Roger. That meant that Roger and Buck weren’t far from Lallybroch. Well, it turns out they’re not.

On the way, Roger is tackling with a few thoughts and concerns. He’s trying to right out what God wants from him, and he does seem to be concerning himself with others’ problems a little too much. It’s all relatively forgotten about when he sees Jemmy.

Roger is reunited with his son. Then Buck is carrying Mandy. The whole family is soon to be back together. And while a lot of this is plot development and closure, there is a small bit of foreshadowing in the story.

As for whether or not it will be used in the TV series, I suspect it will be. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 108.
