Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Brianna, Jem, and Mandy walking toward the stones. Bree is worried about Mandy’s Esmeralda doll. The red is too bright for the 18th century, but that is going to be the least of her worries. Even the weight of her bag—of items we don’t get to know about until Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone—is nothing to think about.

Bree has three emeralds. They’ll help her focus on Roger’s eyes, which should get her and the children to him. However, Jem and Mandy’s stones burn up before they can time travel, and that has Brianna scared.

Fortunately, Lionel Menzies went with the three to the stones. He is a Brother of the Lodge and has an onyx Masonic ring. He smashes it in two so Mandy and Jem have their gems needed to get through the stones.

There isn’t any time to talk. Car doors closing alert the four of them that more people are coming. Bree needs to take her children through the stones now, with Lionel suspecting that Cameron and his goons are coming. The three leave through the stones holding hands.
