Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I think this chapter foreshadows what’s to come for Buck. He has no intention of returning to his own time period. He wants Morag to be happy with someone else, knowing that he is not the right man for her. He’s willing to make things up to Roger by going to the 1980s to get word to Bree.

However, things are going to change. Buck doesn’t end up time traveling anywhere again. Instead, he decides to stay in 1739 with a certain “witch.”

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

With what this chapter leads to, I do expect to see the chapter play out in the Outlander series. This brings us some closure to everything that happened to Roger at the hands of Buck. It also gives us a chance to see that Buck would be able to change if he tried to. That doesn’t mean he will.

I also want to see Roger explain how he and Bree planned to communicate. While Bree can’t get in touch with Roger, he can send her messages. These are important plot points to know how Bree ends up with the letter she does to know where to go through the stones to get to Roger.
