Outlander: Blood of My Blood is not coming to STARZ in June 2023
As we hear that Outlander is coming to an end, eyes are on the prequel. When could we see Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiere on STARZ?
It isn’t surprising to see that Outlander: Blood of My Blood is not on the list of shows premiering in June 2023. After all, there is another Outlander show premiering this month. It is all about Season 7.
Even if the seventh season wasn’t going to start, we wouldn’t have seen Blood of My Blood premiere. After all, the series is only in pre-production as far as we know. Most of the work is happening on the final season of the main series.
When could Outlander: Blood of My Blood come to STARZ?
We’re not expecting the prequel series to air on STARZ any time soon. There is no sign that the series is in production. In fact, there are a lot of factors working against the production of the series right now.
There is a writers strike currently in effect. This affects any writer in the Writers Guide of America, and that means every writer on the series except Diana Gabaldon. Now, Diana could write all the episodes of the prequel, but that’s not going to happen. A lot of non-unionized writers are standing in solidarity of the unionized writers.
So, this puts a lot on hold, including Outlander Season 8 and the prequel series. This may not cause too many problems just yet. After all, we’re looking at Season 8 and the prequel coming out in a couple of years based on the fact that Season 7B will air at some point in 2024.
It’s going to be very hard to even predict a release year for the prequel right now.
