Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 102 breakdown

Roger and Buck head back north in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 102

Despite getting away from the stones, Roger and Buck were affected by them. Now it’s time to continue the actual reason they are in the past in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 102.

This chapter is more about pushing Roger and Buck back on their original journey. Now that they’ve helped Jerry, it’s time to find Jemmy. Buck is also interested in learning more about his parents. I love that both of these men don’t know their real parents and they end up in a time period when they can meet at least one of them.

There is certainly some foreshadowing in this chapter when it comes to Buck. He is more than interested in learning about Geillis, and that’s who he wants to meet. I’ll get to my thoughts on this in the foreshadowing chapter.

I expect to see some of this chapter, at least, to be used in the TV series. I’ll get to whether all of it could be used in the adaptation section of the post.
