Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. This is all about finding Jerry and getting the man back to his own time. It’s all about wrapping up this part of the story before getting Roger back to Brianna and the children.

I guess there is a little bit of foreshadowing in Bree getting back to Roger. I see it in Roger giving away the garnet. While he will need to buy another gem, there is the possibility of things happening the other way. What if Bree got to Roger?

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I’m in two minds about whether this chapter will be used. While we know at some point in Outlander Season 7 we’ll see Buck and the journey through 1739, I’m not sure we’ll see all of it. Nobody was mentioned as an actor to play Jerry. This could be to avoid a spoiler, but it could also be because this part of the story is going to be skipped.

Could we see the focus be on Roger finding Jemmy, who didn’t come through the stones after all? Jerry hasn’t been a big part of Roger’s story in the TV show. Not the way he was in the book. It would mean finding Jerry isn’t on the hearts of the show-first or show-only fans in the way he is for the book-first fans.

Personally, I would love to see it all play out. I just doubt the time available for it all.
