Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows Roger learning that his father didn’t survive. We know from A Leafe on the Wind that Jerry died protecting Roger. Roger only has a few memories of when his mother and grandmother died in the Blitz. It turns out that Roger’s mother threw him to his father, who had believed to have died over waters somewhere. Well, Jerry time-traveled and got back to the Blitz to save Roger, only to die there.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I want to see this chapter used. Roger needs something about his parents. He deserves this part of the story to play out, which means we need to see the journey to learn the truth. That means getting to the wall, running into the strangers, and figuring out what happened to Jerry.

Will there be enough time? I think so. We know that some of this storyline is going to pop up in Outlander Season 7. That will offer Season 8 to wrap things up if needed before getting Roger and Bree back to Claire and Jamie.
