Outlander Book Club: Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 95 breakdown
Just the Outlander chapter
The chapter picks up with Bree, Jemmy, and Mandy in California in 1980. She has been dealing with various financial matters and keeping her things safe for the future. She knows that there’s a chance that someone will return to their own time in the future, and she wants to make sure there is something for them.
When she checks her PO Box, she finds a letter from Joe. He has a letter from Roger and some Queen Victoria stamps that were found when moving the desk. Bree learns that Roger is in 1739! That’s a shock to her, which isn’t surprising considering while she knew Roger was going through the stones, she thought it would be to the 1770s.
This leads to Bree adding a second part to the “A Practical Guide for Time Travelers,” which Roger had initially been working on. She shares her own theories, which include the portals are on ley lines and that the gems could help protect and guide. She tries to use some science to explain the magic, but realizes that if Einstein couldn’t, then she has no hop of doing that.
To end the chapter, Bree decides that it is time to read all the letters her parents left for her. She needs to figure out where they are and how to get to them.
