Ian tells Rachel about Geillis in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 92

It looks like a couple of days have passed since William dropped of Ian in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 92. Rachel has now returned, and it’s time for Ian to confess to his actions.

Ian had worried how Rachel would react to hearing that he felt compelled to kill. Would she leave him due to his ways, or would she continue to walk by his side? That comes up in this chapter, and we immediately get to see her reaction.

This chapter also sees Ian telling Rachel a little about his time with Geillis. He doesn’t go into all the details, but it’s enough for Rachel to understand what he has been through. That could help her understand more about who he is as a person.

The chapter certainly sets up more of the plot for the two of them. We get to see which direction their story is going in, and it’s a good one.

I expect to see this chapter or at least the conversation to happen in the TV series. I’ll get to why that is in the adaptation section of the post.
