Claire and Jamie discuss what comes next in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 91

Claire is now on the mend, which means Jamie can relax a little in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 91. That’s not going to be for too long, though.

This chapter is short, and it’s all about future planning. Jamie and Claire are trying to figure out what to do next. Jamie has the harder of the decisions now that he’s resigned from the militia. I find it surprising that talk of Fraser’s Ridge isn’t all that prominent and, instead, Jamie goes back to the ideas of printing.

The talks are halted though as Jamie needs to rest. If only he could get a good night’s sleep. William turns up with an injured Ian, and Claire can’t tend to Ian alone.

This chapter is certainly about getting things ready for the final part of the story. With the main drama over, it’s time for Claire and Jamie to return to normal. That’s what we get to see in this chapter.

Will it be used in the TV series? Most probably. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of the post.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 91.
