If there’s one show we could do with more of, it’s Star Trek: Picard. Season 3 has come to an end, but will there be a Star Trek: Picard Season 4?

Star Trek is one of those franchises fans cannot get enough of. That’s especially the case when you bring back favorite characters, introduce some interesting new ones, and have writers who clearly love the universe as much as the fans. Star Trek: Picard had all of that and more, and we’ve said goodbye to the third season recently.

Now all eyes are on the fourth season. After all, that finale left a few things open ended suggesting that there is more to come. What are the plans for the series?

Star Trek: Picard Season 4 is not happening at Paramount+

We do start with some bad news. There isn’t going to be a fourth season. Even before the third season premiered, Paramount+ confirmed that it would be the last. This isn’t because of a low viewership. It has everything to do with the story.

That doesn’t mean Outlander fans won’t get to see Ed Speleers as Jack Crusher again. There is a chance that we could get a spin-off series. We just won’t know about that for some time.

Fans are calling out for a spin-off series called Star Trek: Legacy. It sounds like Speleers is more than happy to reprise his role as Jack, the love child of Beverly Crusher and Jean-Luc Picard. We’re more than happy to see Speleers back in the role, too.

So, now it all comes down the studio, Paramount+, and the team behind the series. There is a major factor in the delay of talks right now: the WGA writers strike. Negotiations cannot happen while the strike goes on, and we have no idea how long the strike will last. However, I don’t think we have to worry about the interest in the spin-off waning, so there is hope for a Legacy spin-off happening.

Next. Will Ed Speleers be in You Season 5?. dark
