Ian has a moment of honesty with William in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 90

William second-guesses his decision to help Ian in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 90. It gives Ian a chance to share what he sees in William, especially when it comes to Jamie.

This is an interesting chapter. There isn’t too much going on, but it’s important for William’s character development. This is a chance for him to learn just how Ian found out the truth about who William’s father is and learn a little more about how he is like Jamie.

It’s not that William really wants to talk about it right now, and I can’t really blame him. However, there is certainly some foreshadowing in this chapter when it comes to William and Jamie. I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.

As for this chapter being used in the TV series, I don’t think it will. To be honest, I’m in two minds. There are certainly reasons why it should be used in the show, and those reasons could outweigh trying to fit so much in the story in such a short amount of time.
