John and Hal pay Claire and Jamie a visit in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 88

It doesn’t take long for John and Hal to find Jamie to seek his help in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 88. What exactly do they want from him?

This is a great chapter to catch up with where John and Jamie are in their feelings toward each other. While Jamie is the one angry about John and Claire being together, John is also angry at Jamie. After all, John has recently been through a lot and it happened because of Jamie’s actions after beating him up.

However, there is something else that’s more of a concern for the two men. Well, someone else: William. Of course, both men are going to be more concerned about William than their own issues, and that says a lot about them. They will put their children first. We’ve always seen that with Jamie, and now we’re seeing it with John.

While I’m in two minds about all the John and Hal scenes being included, when it comes to William, I expect the scenes to be included. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

This doesn’t really foreshadow too much, though. It’s more about plot development when it comes to William and Richardson.
