There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. We get to tidy up things with Claire, with answers of whether she’ll live or die. The only foreshadowing is really about whether there is a home to go back to. Deep down, we know that home is at the Ridge and it always will be.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

The chapter is sure to be used in the TV series. After all, this is a major moment for Claire and Jamie. We usually see these moments where one of them is dying as it’s emotional for both of them. So, we’re sure to see it all play out on the TV screen once again.

There’s no reason not to see it play out on the screen. There will be enough time for something like this, especially with the development for other characters that it offers. Up to this point, we get to see Denny working alone on Claire, which is sure to be a big moment for him.
