Just the Outlander chapter

John wakes up and remembers the most recent events. His eye still hurts, but it does seem to be getting a little better. He vaguely remembers Hal sharing that Benjamin Grey, Hal’s eldest child, is dead. This is something that Richardson shared, and it turns out that Richardson has deserted.

John takes anything Richardson says with a grain of salt. Hal also doesn’t trust Richardson.

Later in the chapter, John updates Hal about Percy. It’s clear that there is a lot going on and the two need to work together to get some answers. John and Hal refuse to say anything to Hal’s wife, Minni, about Ben until they have all the details. As they head back to Philadelphia, John thinks that they need to turn to Jamie for help.

Over with William, he is confused after his head injury. It’s clear that he had a serious concussion.  His memories slowly start coming back, but it’s the later part that is more interesting. General Clinton has relieved William of his duties, which is a relief considering that he disobeyed orders. He decides to find Jane, but runs into Anne Endicott. She is interested in William but less interested when she finds out that William has two women under his protection.
