We catch up with William and John in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 80

We find out what’s happened to William and John in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 80. Will the two end up coming across each other?

This chapter brings us a few characters important to the story. We find out where John is after his escape from the Continental Army again, we see William get rescued, and we get to see what’s going on with Ian and Hal.

Everyone is in one place, but not everyone knows where each other is. Hal has the best chance of connecting everyone, and I absolutely adore Hal’s line to William at the end of this chapter. I think the line at the end helps to foreshadow a few things that are to come for John and William. I think it also foreshadows some things for Hal and John.

Of course, we need to see what happened to Ian. This chapter picks up with him leading some men to find William.

I would like to see this chapter used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on why it should and whether it will in the adaptation section.
