Ian needs to find a way to help William in Outlander Book 8, Chapter 78

We get another chapter with William and Ian in Outlander Book 8. Of course, their lives collide again.

These two just can’t stay away from each other, can they? In a way, I love it. Both of them love the same woman and they are both heavily connected to Jamie. Yet they are on opposite sides of the war and sometimes really don’t like each other.

Yet, Ian isn’t about to let his cousin die. It doesn’t matter that they are on the opposite side. He needs to find a way to help William, who has fallen into a ravine. The problem is Ian has his own problem after him.

This chapter doesn’t really foreshadow too much. It’s more about plot development, giving us time with Ian and William again. After all, we need to see more of their personalities as they become more important.

Will the chapter be used in the TV series, though? This part is debatable and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Written in My Own Heart’s Blood Chapter 78.
