Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter seems to foreshadow John’s eventual way of getting back to the British. Jamie has revoked John’s parole. This is a sign between them that John’s debt of honor is no longer necessary. John is able to escape without his integrity being affected. However, there is still a risk for Jamie considering how many people have just witnessed the situation.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I think we’ll see Claire’s part of the chapter at the very least. The Battle of Monmouth is sure to be included in the story at some point, and that will mean seeing Claire at work as a surgeon. In fact, there are photos from Outlander Season 7 that show Jamie and Claire at some sort of battlefield setup.

Seeing Claire’s way of helping Sally is going to be important. She has a knack for working with the personalities of her patients, and I want to see how she changes from working on the male soldiers to working on one of the few women to fight.

As for Jamie and John, this is all going to depend on time. Is there really a need for all the back and forth of whether John will escape or not? I could see a lot of John’s story here condensed considerably.
