This chapter is very much in the moment for both Claire and Jamie. We see them working in the ways they know best, and Claire is able to keep control of people when she needs to. She would never have hurt the men, but she needed to get their attention to make them stop what they were doing.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I would like to see this chapter used, and I think it will be. I have a feeling that this is one of the battles of the Revolutionary War that we’ll see play out in either Outlander Season 7 or Outlander Season 8. If not this battle, we’ll see some of the moments from this battle used in the TV series.

The show tends to focus on Claire working on the wounded in battle. We saw it at Prestonpans and then later at Alamance. We need to see it one more time before the show ends.

We also need to see Jamie in the battle. I even hope there’s a comment about the potato farm just to add a little lightness to a heavier part of the story. Even if we just have small parts, I have a lot of faith in the writers when it comes to battles. They haven’t disappointed me yet.
