Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows a couple of things. Percy asks Fergus “Do you know who you are?” Of course, Fergus doesn’t really know, and he isn’t all that interested. It’s clear that Percy knows a lot more. Why can’t he just blurt it all out?

The other bit is everything to do with Richardson. We know from a previous conversation that Richardson is a spy. He wanted Claire to work with him. But there is clearly more to this. Why would Richardson want Hal and John specifically? It’s not like they’re at the top of the chain of command. It’s clear that Richardson knows far more than he’s letting on.

We’ve since learned in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone that Richardson is a time traveler. He certainly knows a lot more.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I would like to see the chapter adapted if Percy’s storyline and Richardson’s future storylines are going to be used. We’ll need these little bits of information thrown in.

I just can’t see there being enough time for all this. There’s so much to fit into the last 10 episodes of Outlander, as I’m sure this part will be held for Season 8 rather than any of the two parts of Season 7. The Percy storyline could take up just one episode, but the Richardson storyline needs more time.

It would make sense to have Richardson as the big villain of the final season, especially as we find out that he’s a time traveler. It’s why I remain on the fence about this.
