Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow anything to me. I guess there may be something in his choice of song that he’s whistling, but I don’t think that means too much. Sometimes we just get certain tunes in our heads. I can’t tell you the number of times I find myself whistling “Greensleeves.”

I think really we just have this plot point of William trying to avoid his orders. That’s not going to end well.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I don’t see this chapter being used in the TV series. There just isn’t enough going on for it to be used. If it is used, it’s going to be combined with something else.

Maybe we’ll get a montage of things that are happening in the different camps. Outlander has done montages of people preparing for battle or fights before. Look at the Outlander Season 5 finale. I think that’s the only way we’ll see what William is up to at this point as he doesn’t have much of an important role in things to come just yet.
