Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter continues the plot development surrounding John being in the camp. There is still more to this story, but it is coming to an end. John will eventually get back to his life in Philadelphia.

There is a small bit of foreshadowing in this chapter, though. I think we see that Jamie isn’t going to completely turn his back on John. While he is angry about John and Claire’s relationship, Jamie also knows how much John has done for both of the Frasers in the past. He can’t just abandon John now, and it’s clear that he still thinks of this man as a friend.

You can’t just turn feelings off. Plus, Jamie is one of those who tends to act first and ask questions later. That is really what happened with John, and now maybe part of Jamie is regretting that.

Adapting the Written in My Own Heart’s Blood chapter

I want to see the chapter used in the TV series. I would love to see the development of this story with John being Jamie’s prisoner and not really knowing what Jamie will do considering everything that has happened up to this point.

The problem is I don’t think there will be enough time. If this whole storyline is used, not all the individual chapters can be used. It can really only take up one episode, and that’s not going to be easy to do. It’ll be worth it, though.
